Create your own golf simulation
Space and location
Decide where you want to place the golfsimulator. This could be a garage, basement, hobby room or even a purpose-built space. Make sure that the space is high enough for a full golf swing and long and wide enough to play comfortably.
Impact screen and frame
The impact screen is where the images are projected and where the ball hits against. Make sure you have a durable screen and a sturdy frame.
Projector
A good projector is crucial for the quality of the simulation. Pay attention to the resolution, brightness and throw ratio to ensure the projector fits depending on the size of your screen and the distance at which you will place it.
Launch monitor
The launch monitor measures ball flight and swing data to run the created simulation. There are several options on the market, ranging from high-end systems to more affordable options.
Mat and tee
A quality golf mat is important for realistic ball contact stimulation and to prevent injuries. Look for a mat that is durable and one that mimics the feel of real grass. An adjustable tee can also be useful.
Computer or iPad
Make sure you have a computer or iPad with sufficient specifications to keep the simulation software running smoothly. Check the system requirements of the software to ensure your computer or iPad is compatible.
Installation and calibration
After collecting the above components, follow the installation instructions carefully to put everything in place correctly. Pay attention to calibrating the launch monitor and projector to ensure accurate and realistic results.
